Privacy Policy

for Lesson Modules:

Latest update: November 8, 2022

#PlainTalk, yo.

To be very transparent: lessons on plaintalkhistory.com do NOT ask for any Personal Data. (Inside a lesson module, you are never asked for your name, email address, etc.)

The website DOES utilize cookies with a piece of open source software called Matomo. But the part of that cookie’s data which might be possible to identify you is called an IP address, and that IP address is anonymized by Matomo as soon as it hits their server. Therefore your computer’s precise IP address is never stored in any fashion that another computer or a human being could obtain. We don’t track you any other way: not your name, not your Facebook cookies, not even with Google’s crazy sophisticated algorithm.

Why do we use cookies? #PlainTalkHistory wants to evaluate how readers, in aggregate, are using the lesson we created. For example, we want to be able to improve the website if we learn that some parts of it are not being used very often.
